Deejay values authenticity, vulnerability and resiliency as themes that guide their personal and professional practice.      Five years of professional and paraprofessional experience in student services, including programming and advising.
     Experience supervising, training, and evaluating student assistants and student leaders.
     Theoretical and practical knowledge of contemporary issues, concerns, and interests of the LGBTQQIA student population, i.e. social, educational, political, academic, career, personal, familial, and cultural needs, concerns and interests.

     Directly responsible for initiating, planning, and organizing over 50 campus-wide events related to social justice, sexual orientation and gender identity. Including: UCI National Coming Out Week, National Transgender Day of Remembrance, and over 8 LGBTQ awareness weeks.
     Directs and implements marketing strategies & educational resources for the LGBTRC programs and facility. 
     Provides expert training on cultural awareness, sensitivity, and intersections of sexual orientation and gender identities.
     Designs, coordinates, and implements specialized workshops, presentations, trainings, and lectures.
     Provided one-on-one consultation, advisement, and counseling to students and make referrals to campus and community resources.
     Independently responsible for the hiring, training, supervision and evaluation of over 25 student staff members, fieldwork interns and volunteers.
